How to get there
There are two ways of getting there. The first on through Marina and crossing the water using a speedboat, which will cost you around Rp 200,000 per person and take you on a two-hour ride. The other departure point is Muara Angke. This route gives you an option of two water transportation vehicles to get to Pulau Tidung. The first on by Speedboat charged Rp55,000 per person, which will take you two hours to reach the island. The other option is by wooden boat,which at Rp35,000 is a cheaper option, but will mean being above the see a little bit longer, as it would take around these hours to reach the island.
As you many have guessed, there is nothing as fancy as a hotel in the island. However, there are plenty of houses available for rental which are very reasonably priced. You can rent a house with two bedrooms for as cheap as Rp400,000 a night. The atmosphere of Pulau Tidung will stick in you mind for a long time. The natural sceneray in the island is simply breath taking. This is due to the locals’ endeavor in preserving the cleanliness and beauty of the island. Such a spirit is also reflected in their friendly and warm attitude toward the visitors to the island.
